Nicole Ring brings warmth, empathy, and a thoughtful perspective to her work with families navigating life’s most difficult transitions. While earning her J.D. from Loyola Law School, she gained hands-on experience across both the non-profit and government sectors — experiences that helped shape her calling to family law.

At the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles and the Los Angeles County Child Support Services Department, Nicole saw firsthand how the legal system can be both a lifeline and a labyrinth for families in crisis. She also participated in Loyola’s Collaborative Family Law Clinic and volunteered with the Harriett Buhai Center for Family Law, where she developed a deeper appreciation for the power of compassion and clarity in guiding clients through challenging times.

Now part of the team at Skarin Law Group, Nicole is dedicated to learning every facet of family law practice. She collaborates closely with the firm’s attorneys on a wide variety of cases—from complex financial matters to emotionally charged custody disputes—eager to learn from each attorney’s unique style and approach while refining her own.

Nicole approaches her work with equal parts empathy and pragmatism. She believes that family law is not only about legal outcomes but also about human stories. Clients often come to the firm during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives, and she strives to ensure they feel heard, understood, and supported every step of the way.

“I love hearing people’s stories,” she says. “When a marriage ends, it’s often the first time someone feels ready to share everything they’ve been holding inside. It’s an incredible privilege to help clients begin moving toward a new chapter—feeling freer and lighter than when they first came to us.”

Nicole’s genuine compassion and dedication make her a valuable part of the Skarin Law Group team. She is awaiting bar results and is an active member of the Black Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles.
